In
addition to having great beaches, Maui is one of the world's premier golf
destinations with each course offering a perfect blend of forgiveness and
challenge combined with stunning views of the deep blue Pacific and surrounding
islands. Several PGA and Senior PGA golf tournaments are held each year on
Maui's courses. And South Maui has the perfect weather to go with the best golf
in Hawaii.
There are 6 great courses within 6 miles of our condo. They
are the Wailea Old Blue Golf Club, Wailea Emerald Course, Wailea Gold Course,

Maui Lani, Pukalani, and Waiehu. We've personally played all of these courses
and they are great. It's hard to decide which to play.

The proximity to the ocean is exactly why the Makena South
Course is so special. Besides having two oceanfront holes, numbers fifteen and
sixteen, the South Course also affords an excellent view of humpback whales
that visit here each winter. And since they keep coming back year after year,

Pukalani's fairways are wide and hilly, and its greens are
fast and sloped. The course is located at 1,100 feet in elevation, resulting in
cooler playing conditions. The biggest challenges come from the wind and
elevation changes. The high elevation provides some great views of the Island
of Maui. |
